Nine Mile Baptist Association (NMBA) Churches are committed to helping anyone who desires to serve the Lord in vocational ministry. Therefore, the NMBA is offering academic scholarships for students interested in going into the ministry or are already on a ministry track.

The funds for the scholarships will be taken from the interest earned from the SIU Booster Club account in the previous year.  Each scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $1000 for the following academic school year.  Applications must be completed and submitted by January 31st.  Interviews will be conducted on or around the first week of March by a committee selected by the Association Board.

Each applicant must meet the following criteria:

 1) Be a member of a cooperating church in the Association.

 2) Desire to be in vocational ministry.

 3) Submit a letter of recommendation from their pastor.

 4) Be enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing an undergraduate, graduate, or seminary degree.

All applicants will be notified by phone or e-mail by the

end of April whether or not they are approved.
